Homeland and origin:

Wild lavender belongs to the mustard family, and its scientific name is Horwoodia dicksoniae Turrill . It is native to the Arabian Peninsula, particularly Saudi Arabia, where its purple color has become a symbol of hospitality and the authenticity of the land. It is also found in southern Iraq and Jordan.
